Virtual Reality is a new medium, not enough exploited in educational practice. Special equipment is no longer a barrier – 360 degrees materials can be used not only with expensive goggles, but also with DIY carton box tools with smartphones and, most importantly, directly from social media channels: Youtube and Facebook. Storytelling for this emerging format involves a user-focused engagement. The VR viewer is ‘present’ as an active agent who engages with the unfolding narrative as a witness immersed in the environment. In 15 unique materials we will guide you through Arctic phenomena, explain processes, focus on current changes and anthropogenic impact, and influence of this region on other areas. Cinematic narration will accompany beautiful footage of landscapes and facilities.
